I went to Dr. Lavelle as I was experiencing pain walking. He check my MRI and took another X-ray to compare. He is very calming and takes his time explaining everything. The medication he subscribed has really been helping along with a few suggestions. I would highly recommend him as I feel he is knowledgeable and caring.

Outstanding Surgeon

Dr. Lavelle is outstanding! I had my left hip replaced on May 25, 2023. I checked in at hospital at 10:00am, surgery at noon and I had taken my first assisted walk and was sitting in a chair when dinner was brought in. Physical Therapy came to the house for first 3 weeks then went to outpatient PT. I haven't even taken any pain meds in 6-8 weeks and I was living on them before. I was back to the gym at week 5. Full disclosure, I did my physical therapy exercises daily. If you only do them those two days a week you have PT you will not progress. I have my week 12 appointment this week and could not be happier with the results of my surgery.

transformational surgical experience

I’m a 63 year old male that had a badly osteoarthritic deteriorated right hip… I had been unable to walk pain free for about 7 years and the past 2, I became quite immobile my fear of finding the right doctor and of the surgical procedure itself led to procrastination and caring for myself. I had 2 prior consultations with other doctors over the past 2 years which led to no avail. From the moment I met Dr.Lavelle I was immediately put to ease. He quickly diagnosed my hip… said I had lost considerable leg length on my arthritic right side which could be corrected in surgery… Fast forward…It’s 5/18/23 I’m 7 weeks post Op. I’m standing straight , walking pain free…miles a day. I actually began walking around my block 2 days after surgery with out the use of crutches or a walker…with only a bit of incision discomfort… Dr Lavelle literally gave me my life back.. I am eternally grateful for his expertise and care…He is truly a miracle worker.
